They began clearing the ground for our new home the week of May 6. This is a very exciting time for us. Carol and I have purchased 5 houses in our lives together, but this is the first new construction. A completely different experience for us. It is exciting and frightening at the same time.
Lots of decisions to make, not to mention all the ‘excitement’ of trying to sell ‘This Old House’ before buying ‘New House’.
We’ll see how it goes.
Saturday May 25, Memorial Day weekend, shows a lot of progress. The entire rough grading and back-fill of the property appears to have been completed.
Wait something’s different here. OMG there’s siding on the house. All the way around.

The plywood sheeting is covering the roof trusses. It really defines the lines of the house now.
It was time to explore the framed out rooms in our home. We wandered through the entire place, grabbing pics along the way.
